Arthro CBCT
Arthro CBCT combines contrast agent injection with high-resolution 3D imaging. It is the most effective examination for detailed analysis of cartilage, menisci, and ligaments. It provides an unparalleled view of the joints.
- Please report any possible pregnancy before the exam.
- This test is contraindicated in patients with an allergy to iodinated contrast media.
Remove all metal objects (jewelry, piercings, glasses, etc.) from the area being examined.
- Injection of the iodine product
The examination begins with the injection of an iodinated contrast agent directly into the joint to be studied, under radiographic control.
This procedure is generally not very painful , comparable to a blood test. In some cases, it may be combined with an injection of cortisone derivatives to relieve joint pain at the same time. - Image Acquisition
Once the contrast agent has been injected, a volumetric scan is performed. It provides high-resolution images that allow for a detailed analysis of cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and bone, enabling an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
- Low radiation exposure: an X-ray dose that is much lower than that of a conventional CT scan.
- High precision: detailed visualization of the joint’s internal structures.
- Quick and relatively painless: the procedure is short and well tolerated.
- Possible pain relief: through the use of cortisone injections.
Arthro-CBCT is therefore an innovative and effective solution for joint imaging, combining diagnostic accuracy with patient comfort.
Arthro-CBCT may be indicated for various joints:
• Shoulder
• Elbow
• Wrist
• Hip
• Knee
• Ankle
• Foot
